The Company
Millbrook Group is a specialist property credit fund manager with over 17 years of track record in providing investors with attractive capital and stable returns. We have a proven track record and co-invest alongside our investors. With a genuine focus on building personal relationships, we consistently deliver on our core values of trust, integrity, innovation, and teamwork. Since 2017, we have advanced over $1.2B in loans and repaid our investors $803M. Overall Group FUM as of September 30, 2025, is ~$406m. As we scale, we seek a Senior Investor Relationship Manager who can leverage their network to raise capital and drive our expansion.
About the role
Your primary mandate is to bring your own book of relationships (family offices, consultants, financial planners, direct investors) and expand it. You’ll lead fundraising, relationship management, structuring discussions, and work with internal teams to deliver against investor expectations. The role reports to the Head of Investments.
What We Offer
We offer a challenging yet rewarding opportunity; a vibrant, multi-cultural team with a culture that values team building; excellent opportunities for personal and professional growth; and access to the Managing Director and owner.
About You
Ideally, you will be working in an investment, wealth, or funds relationship role within the banking, funds, private wealth, family office, or similar investment sector. You are a strong communicator who is comfortable engaging with high / ultra-high-net-worth individuals.
Key Responsibilities
Supported by the Head of Investments and the wider distribution team, the Senior Relationship Manager will:
· Deploy your existing network — identify, engage, negotiate, and close new capital commitments from family offices, consultants, financial planners, and direct investors
· Maintain, deepen, and expand relationships in your network — drive follow‑on allocations, cross‑product engagement, and co‑investment opportunities.
· Build and manage a pipeline with metrics: prospects → meetings → diligence → commitment.
· Lead pitch development: structure proposals, craft investment theses, term sheets, scenario analyses.
· Coordinate and lead investor due diligence and onboarding (working with investment team, origination, compliance, operations).
· Monitor investor feedback, address concerns, and ensure high service levels (reporting, transparency, performance attribution).
· Stay on top of market and competitor trends, feed strategic intelligence into product development and positioning.
· Represent the firm in industry forums, conferences, and investor events (including interstate).
· Provide accurate forecasts, reporting, and strategy updates to leadership.
Required Qualifications & Skills
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in distribution, investor relations, or fundraising in alternatives / private markets, ideally with private credit.
· Must bring an existing book / network of relationships.
· Proven performance: a track record of raising capital
· Strong commercial judgment, negotiation skills, and ability to translate technical credit topics into investor language.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills; confident engaging C-suite / senior investor audiences.
· Naturally proactive, entrepreneurial, and able to work independently.
· Strong cross-functional orientation—comfortable engaging investment, origination, compliance, and operations teams.
· Willingness and ability to travel for roadshows and investor meetings.
· Academic credentials: Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics or related. Advanced credentials (CFA, MBA) are a plus.
· Integrity, bias for action, and high follow-through discipline.
Success Metrics / KPIs
· New capital committed (absolute amount, number of investors).
· Growth and expansion of allocations from your network.
· Conversion ratio (meetings → commitment).
· Pipeline health (coverage ratio).
· Time to close / “deal cycle time”.
· Retention / satisfaction among investors.
· Fee / revenue growth attributable to your efforts.
· Quality of capital (stickiness, alignment, terms).
Compensation & Incentives
• Competitive base salary.
• Generous bonus tied to capital raised.
• Travel, conference budget, professional development support
