An opportunity has become available for a bespoke Heavy-Vehicle Parts Person & Administration all-rounder to join our Gympie-based team. This is a permanent, full-time, Monday-Friday position with an immediate start available.

Reporting to the Managing Director, in this customer service role you will procure the necessary parts for projects, service our existing customer base for spare parts and, importantly, seek to expand the bespoke parts business through new customer development. You will also provide administrative support to the MD.

Your Responsibilities

· Procure, expedite and receive parts for manufacturing projects, intact and on-time.

· Provide a high level of customer service, which includes parts interpretation.

· Maintain existing customer relationships.

Develop and expand the customer base with new business.

Prepare quotations and process customer orders in a timely manner.

Liaise with suppliers, ordering and stock control.

Warehouse Duties, including Forklift Operation, packaging of parts, stock management.

Organise prompt freight delivery of customer spare part orders.

Maintain MYOB records that adhere to the position – Invoicing, Purchasing, Accounting Reconciliation.

Assist to provide regular flow of inventory to ensure adequate, accurate and appropriate supply and stock levels are adhered to.

Assist project managers in the coordination of manufacturing projects to ensure everything is running smoothly from purchasing, parts expediting & receival, organising trades and other duties as required.

The role is predominantly office/desk based, with approximately 10% of time required for warehouse duties, parts receival, manual handling of stock, packaging etc.

To be successful you shall have:

High level of communication & interpersonal skills via phone and email, as we are not an over-the-counter retail business.

Proactive capabilities in new customer development.

Computer Skills including the ability to use Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Competent Knowledge and Skills to use MYOB. (Additional MYOB training can be provided if necessary but an existing working knowledge is essential)

Experience in customer service.

Forklift License (or be willing to obtain).

Physically Fit to do manual handling of parts, packaging, stock control etc.

Current Manual Driver’s License.

Ability to maintain a small store of spare parts, including stocktake and inventory management.

Desire to contribute to the growth of a dynamic business in a team environment.

Also viewed favourably:

Demonstrated ability to read and interpret spare parts and service manuals.

An understanding of heavy vehicle components and systems

An aptitude for mechanical systems and components including hydraulic, pneumatic & DC electrical components & functions.
