In your new role, you will be reporting to a supportive Design Manager, and as a team ensure that timely and accurate design files are provided for every customer order. You will also understand and ensure the capacity of CNC machinery suits the business needs and projection of work.

Responsibilities include:

Drafting manufacturing related concepts based on client requests

Provide final designs/concepts to customers and obtain feedback

Assist in updating plans following product changes (including updates to CNC library)

Provide guidance and support to the production team

Investigate and resolve design related enquiries/issues

Manage CNC operators from a technical perspective

Be a point of contact to ensure scheduled works have design files ready and signed-off

Candidates should demonstrate the following skills/knowledge:

Strong proficiency with tool and machine operation in relation to production

Strong proficiency with reading, interpreting, and following instructions, specifications, standard operating procedures, charts, lists, drawings and other applicable reference documents in relation production

Strong verbal communication skills

Strong written communication skills

Intermediate Microsoft Office and computer proficiency

Strong degree of CNC programming proficiency

Strong knowledge of building materials and associated properties

Preferred experience/education:

Experience with CAD software – Rhyno, Enroute, Toolshop and Solidworx

1 - 3 years experience in an industrial design role (preferably related to the manufacturing industry)

Degree in Design (Industrial)
