The Brisbane Produce Market is Queensland's only central fruit and vegetable market, and the state's most important centre for the wholesale marketing and distribution of fresh fruit and vegetables. It records an annual trade in excess of 700 million kilograms of produce valued at more than $2 billion.

The busy Spring/Summer season is commencing at the Brisbane Markets, with the smell of fresh Mangos and the wait in anticipation for Stone Fruit and Cherries. As a representative of employers within the market, Brismark is searching for a suitably experienced Administration Officer for a secondary wholesaler within the Markets to assist in the delivery of their administration functions.

This is a part-time position, 20 - 30 hours per week, hours to be worked between 8am to 12pm, Monday to Friday. Flexibility with start and finish time is required to meet operational requirements.

This diverse role requires a motivated and flexible, efficient individual The duties will include, but are not limited to:

Data Entry, fast, primarily numeric

Answering incoming calls

Customer service

Invoice reconciliation

Accuracy and attention to detail regarding data entry

Administration support to management and major customers

To be considered for this position you will meet the following criteria:

Previous administrative experience and data entry in a warehouse or transport administration role is preferred.

Previous Fresh Computer System experience is preferred (or comparative ERP system)

Computer literacy (good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications)

High attention to detail and fast, accurate data entry skills

Exceptional communication skills and a focus on customer service

Ability to work in a busy environment and in a small team

Ability to multitask and work well under pressure

Excellent time managements & organisation skills

Ability to follow instruction and learn quickly

Be punctual and reliable

Ability to pick up new computer system & software quickly

Pleasant & easy going nature

MUST have own reliable transport
