About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Lemontree Feedlot as a full-time Assistant Maintenance Manager based in Millmerran, QLD. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the company's facilities and equipment to ensure smooth operations. With a focus on preventative maintenance, you will play a crucial part in keeping our business running efficiently and safely.

What you'll be doing

Carry out routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on a range of equipment, machinery, and facilities

Identify and address potential issues before they become problems, through proactive maintenance and monitoring

Assist with the coordination and supervision of third-party contractors and maintenance providers

Provide recommendations for upgrades or replacements to improve the efficiency and reliability of our facilities

Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with relevant regulations and company policies

What we're looking for

Proven experience in a maintenance or handyperson role, preferably with mechanical and welding experience.

Strong practical skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve a variety of maintenance issues

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and address potential problems

Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and basic equipment maintenance

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety

Effective communication skills to liaise with team members and external contractors
