About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership position, where you’ll guide and support the grounds and maintenance team while also getting involved in day-to-day tasks. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the park’s facilities, grounds, and equipment are safe, functional, and well-presented year-round.
Benefit from a reliable full-time (40 hours per week) roster including weekends with one loaded rate across all 5 days—simple, fair, and rewarding.
Responsibilities Include
Lead, supervise, and mentor the grounds and maintenance team to achieve high standards.
Plan and allocate daily tasks, ensuring efficiency and quality across all areas.
Maintain gardens, lawns, trees, roads, gutters, and walkways, including mowing, pruning, hedging, and mulching.
Manage pest control, weed control, waste removal, and recycling programs.
Support the operation, servicing, compliance and reporting of the sewage treatment plant (STP).
Support the upkeep, servicing, and safe operation of park facilities including the accommodation, food and beverage restaurant and carwash.
Conduct regular inspections, servicing, and repairs of buildings, equipment, and amenities.
Respond promptly to urgent repair and maintenance needs to support the guest experience.
Coordinate vehicle checks, servicing schedules, and contractor engagement as required.
Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring all tasks are completed in line with WHS standards and reporting obligations.
Other Requirements
All final applicants must provide evidence of a current Working with Children Check before starting work.
Hours may vary seasonally. Flexibility to start earlier or work later during peak times is required.
Who We're Looking For
You’re a natural leader with a strong work ethic and positive attitude. You enjoy motivating others, solving problems on the spot, and keeping things running smoothly in a fast-paced environment. With trade experience (and ideally qualifications), a Queensland driver’s licence, and a helpful, patient personality, you’ll bring both technical skills and leadership ability to the role.
