We are Canberra's most recognised waste management facility. We operate a purpose built, in-door sorting facility.

We are seeking an experienced and driven Operations Supervisor to oversee day to day operations of the Facility / Depot.

Key Responsibilities

An exciting opportunity has become available for a proactive and experienced individual to lead the Operations Department in our Waste Management Facility. We’re seeking a hands-on leader with a strong background in operations, logistics, communication skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences. You will be leading a small team, but you will play a key role within the business.

Within this position you will be responsible for:

· Coordinating and managing a dedicated and committed sorting Yard and Transport Team.

· Managing and monitoring daily incoming waste to agreed targets and volumes.

· Reviewing, developing and enhancing company sorting and recycling capabilities, implement new systems and procedures to increase efficiencies.

· Oversee, manage and assume responsibility for the site’s safety, employee training and supervision.

· Manage a large fleet of company owned yard and transport assets.

· Manage servicing, repairs and routine inspections of yard equipment, heavy plant / machinery and truck fleet.

· Management and maintenance of site facilities and infrastructure.

· Licence compliance and statutory reporting.

· Manage daily depot operations across logistics and customer service functions.

· Lead, support, and motivate depot staff to meet performance targets and uphold service standards

· Coordinate inbound and outbound truck routes to ensure accuracy and timeliness of customer service.

· Manage daily depot operations across yard, logistics, and customer service functions.

· Ensure depot compliance with WHS regulations and company policies.

· Maintain accurate depot reporting and administrative records.

· Provide hands-on assistance in Depot activities when required

· Conduct regular Toolbox meetings.

· Managing third party service provides.

· Managing an Operational Budget.

This position reports directly to the General Manager.

What We’re Looking For

· Leadership experience in a warehouse, logistics, or depot environment.

· Current licences and/or tickets would be of advantage: MR truck, Forklift, White Card, First Aid and Silica Awareness.

· Strong customer service skills and a solutions-focused approach.

· Excellent organisational, time management, and communication skills.

· High attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety

· An understanding of financial budgets.

· Intermediate to advanced levels of Microsoft Office applications.

· Great Professional presentation.
