Our client, responsible for registering and protecting inventions, trademarks, and designs to provide legal rights to creators and businesses, is seeking an experienced Lead Data Engineer.

Duties of the Lead Data Engineer

• Provide technical leadership in structuring and optimizing large-scale data sets to support key business objectives;
• Restructure data sources to ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure, enabling efficient data access and improved decision-making;
• Lead the migration of on-premise workflows;
• Participate in technical discussions with other areas of the agency to solve data related problems and provision of technical leadership and mentoring to a small team, including active knowledge transfer.

Skills and Experience Required

• AWS Aurora and SQL
• Informatica IDMC
• Informatica Powercenter
• Workflow migration from Powercenter to IDMC Elasticsearch/Opensearch

• Experience working in tight-knit Agile teams, providing data capabilities and services to technical and business stakeholders. Communicate well (both verbally and in writing), share knowledge and experiences and document requirements.
• Strong knowledge in data analysis, data migration, problem solving and ETL development, including designing, building, testing and deployment of data workflows.
