Long term contract opportunity

To be considered for this contract, you will need to be an Australian citizen and have an NV1 security clearance in place. Contract is due to start October 2025.

Some of the key tasks you will be expected to perform will include the following:

Administer and maintain Linux-based servers, infrastructure and software across both physical and virtual environments.

Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and optimal performance of critical systems.

Close collaboration with engineering, DevSecOps and Environment teams to securely deploy and maintain experimental systems; contribute towards future architectural decisions.

Manage SELinux policies, configuring firewalls (iptables/nftables), and enforce secure access controls, including compliance to the Information Security manual (ISM).

Deploy, maintain and manage large Linux Environment Management tools such as Satellite and Ansible for large scale Linux fleet management.

The role includes developing and maintaining automation scripts using Bash, Python, and Ansible to streamline operations.

As the ideal candidate you should possess the following skills:

Extensive experience with Linux system administration in secure, mission-critical environments, primarily with Red Hat based operating systems.

Strong knowledge of networking, storage, and virtualisation (KVM, VMware).

Proven ability to implement security controls and respond to cyber threats.

Familiarity with integrating emerging technologies into secure infrastructure.

Desirable:

RHICE (Red Hat Certified Engineer) - Security+, CISSP, or equivalent security certification.

TIL Foundation (for service management)

AWS/Azure/GCP certifications (for hybrid cloud environments)
