Role:
As Level 1-2 IT Technical Support, you will be primarily monitoring and maintaining computer systems, networks and infrastructure of the organisation. A typical day will involve:
Provide first and second-level IT support for end users (hardware, software, network, and application issues).
Reporting and working close to the Operations Manager and the IT team.
Being the first point of call for internal company users
Be part of a dynamic team
Installing, configuring and maintaining hardware, operating systems and applications
Monitoring and maintenance of existing systems
Troubleshooting of hardware and software (Windows OS, MS Teams, Exchange, and Active Directory issues)
User access management
Creating and updating Technical and User documentation
Undertake procedural documentation and reporting
Manage the internal IT Helpdesk and respond promptly to raised tickets
Prioritising and managing many open cases at one time
Research and testing new technology
Install, configure, and maintain printers, laptops, desktops, company phones, tablets, and other electronic devices
Liaise with external vendors or escalate issues as required
Support new employee onboarding (account creation, workstation setup, etc.)
Our ideal candidate
2+ years of experience in an IT support role (Level 1 or 2).
Experience with network troubleshooting (Wi-Fi, VPN, LAN).
Familiarity with endpoint protection, backup systems, and ticketing tools.
A customer-first mindset and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Skills Required:
Excellent communication skills: both verbal and written.
Strong customer service skills and polite phone manner.
Ability to recognise, address and resolve IT-related process issues with an appropriate long-term solution.
Excellent and demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Experience with the installation and maintenance of servers.
Sound understanding of networking protocols and technologies.
Vast experience in the installation, set up, and maintenance of workstations.
Experience in Microsoft Windows 10/11, Microsoft Windows Server 2016, 2019,2022, Microsoft Hyper-V, and Microsoft Office 365.
Experience in coding and scripting - knowledge of Javascript, HTML, CSS and PowerShell.
General understanding of phone systems.
