Position Overview

We’re on the lookout for a dedicated & enthusiastic Assistant Manager to join our team. In this pivotal role, you’ll help ensure smooth daily operations, uphold our high standards of customer service, & contribute to the ongoing success of The Edmondson Tavern.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of the tavern, including opening & closing procedures

Lead & support the front-of-house team to deliver outstanding service

Manage bookings, reservations, & customer inquiries with accuracy & care

Maintain the cleanliness & presentation of all public areas

Ensure compliance with health & safety standards through regular checks

Handle cash management, including till reconciliation & gaming machine clearances

Be a friendly point of contact for patrons, resolving concerns professionally

Work with management to improve operations & elevate the customer experience

Qualifications

2+ years experience in a similar hospitality role

Proven leadership skills & the ability to inspire a team

Strong communication & interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset

Current RSA & RCG competency cards

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, & public holidays

Australian citizenship is required
