Who we are

Scotts Tubes is a wholesale production nursery based at Mangrove Mountain, NSW.

We grow speciality flowering plants, herbs, vegetables, cottage and upstarts tubestock.

We supply our plants to retail chain stores and independent retailers across NSW and the ACT.

What you'll be doing

We have two roles available across different teams, the responsibilities can include, but are not limited to:

picking, sorting, packing and dispatching of herb, vegetable and cottage orders

picking, sorting, packing and dispatching of colour orders

all aspects of plant production: seeding, planting, watering etc

maintenance and cleaning of dispatch and production areas

mule and/or tractor driving (training provided)

general nursery duties as needed.

Days and hours

These positions are 5 days per week, Monday to Friday.

Work hours are 6:30am start to 3:00pm - breaks at designated times.

The positions will start as casual but can become ongoing in the future.

In our busy seasons, overtime hours are usually available.

What we're looking for

The ideal nursery hand will have the following attributes:

a genuine interest in the horticulture industry

has nursery or gardening experience

is reliable and has own transport (public transport is not an option to our location)

fit and healthy (ability to be on your feet all day, in all weather conditions)

an eye for detail

quick learner who follows processes and instructions

can carry out tasks correctly and safely

works well in a fast-paced environment

takes initiative

can work independently, as well as in a team

has great communication skills.

Desirable (not essential)

Certificate 3 in Horticulture (or equivalent).

Industry experience.

Knowledge of plant varieties.
