About the Role

We are opening a new Vehicle Processing Centre (VPC) in WA for a leading global automotive brand and so we are now seeking a proactive and safety-focused Team Leader – Yard Operations to join our team Jandakot (WA). In this hands-on leadership role, you will coordinate and guide a team of yard employees, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality operations in line with company and legislative standards.

Key Responsibilities

Provide leadership, direction, and support to yard operations staff

Allocate work and resources to meet productivity and quality targets

Role model and enforce safe work practices, ensuring compliance with WHS/OHS policies

Monitor employee wellbeing, working relationships, and performance

Address performance or conduct matters, escalating as needed

Coordinate vehicle and equipment preparation, storage, and dispatch

Maintain yard integrity, traceability, and adherence to customer KPIs

Oversee quality inspections and support continuous improvement initiatives

Build positive relationships with team members, managers, and customers

Support the Production Manager with yard-related projects and activities

What You’ll Bring

Minimum 3 years’ experience supervising teams, allocating work, and measuring productivity (preferably in automotive or heavy machinery environments)

Strong working knowledge of workplace safety and WHS/OHS legislation

Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and ethical behavior

Excellent communication, consulting, and relationship-building skills

Ability to motivate, mentor, and develop others

Flexible, self-directed, and proactive approach
