KidsHQ is Perth owned and operated with an exciting opportunity to recruit a Classroom Coordinator to join our team.

About us: KidsHQ first opened in 2014 and is celebrating 11 years of business this year. We are a small group of three services located in High Wycombe and Kalamunda. The approved provider is a local member of the community, a teacher herself with 20+ years early childhood experience. With services very close in proximity, we work very closely together to provide a service that is personal and community focused.

The role: We seek an experienced Diploma / Bachelor qualified educator who has previous experience as a team leader / Room Leader.

The Curriculum & Team Coordinator ensures all families build a strong connection to the service whilst ensuring the service responds to each families needs, suggestions and concerns promptly. Classroom design, resource selection, curriculum, educator guidance as well as their well-being is at the centre of every decision.

We are looking for the right candidate for the job and recognise qualifications alone do not outweigh experience. We apply a distributed leadership model to the organisational structure of the service.

We have completely redesigned the leadership structure of Early Learning and understand those who are passionate and have proven skills to lead a classroom should be recognised for their contribution. It is imperative for all HQ team members to guide, coach and mentor through face to face delivery.

Mentoring students on practical placement. Provide verbal and written feedback to aid reflective learning

Developing the Educational Program (reflecting Early Years Learning Framework guidelines).

Ensuring a safe environment is maintained for staff and children, with particular attention to children with anaphylaxis, allergies, asthma etc.

Ensuring that accurate records are kept regarding accident, incident, injury, illness and medication.

Ensuring staff are aware of current thinking and practice in early childhood education, and service delivery.

Liaising with families about the day-to-day happenings of their children

Promoting and maintaining positive working relationships with other staff.

Observing and recording of individual children’s progress

Requirements:

Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or ACECQA recognised equivalent

Working with Children Check

HLTAID004 / D012 First Aid
