Head Chef – Immediate Start | Full-Time

Location: Dairy Road, Fyshwick (just 5 mins from Canberra Airport & 10 mins from the CBD)
Full-time | 5 days a week

We’re seeking a Head Chef to start immediately - someone who can lead our kitchen, inspire our team, and deliver exceptional dining experiences that pair beautifully with our wines.

What you’ll be doing

Lead and manage the kitchen team with energy and positivity.

Create seasonal and event menus, ensuring high-quality presentation and flavour.

Manage budgets through smart portion control, costings, and ROI analysis.

Oversee ordering, supplier relationships, stock rotation, and inspections.

Deliver prep work and maintain consistency in plating and service.

Conduct pre-shift briefings with front of house staff.

Monitor and enforce food safety and compliance standards.

Build team morale and resolve conflicts where needed.

Apply wine and food pairing knowledge to elevate our guest experience.

What we’re looking for

Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Head Chef.

Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.

High cooking standards and attention to detail.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritise effectively.

Experience with menu costings, profit margins, and kitchen budgeting.

Food handling and safety certification.

A true passion for food, wine, and creating memorable experiences.
