Responsibilities
As our Assistant Accountant, you'll manage high-volume reconciliations and support system implementation:

• Payment Platform Reconciliations - Process high volumes of daily reconciliations across PayPal, Zip, Afterpay, and other payment gateways
• Data Accuracy - Ensure all payment platform transactions are accurately recorded and matched
• System Implementation Support - Assist with the rollout of a new financial system from planning to go-live
• Data Migration - Support accurate transfer of financial data from legacy systems
• System Testing - Conduct thorough testing and validation of new system functionality, particularly payment integrations
• Process Documentation - Create new procedures and workflows for payment reconciliation processes
• Issue Resolution - Identify and resolve discrepancies across multiple payment platforms
• Reporting - Provide regular updates on reconciliation status and system implementation progress

Skills

• Proven experience in reconciliations, particularly high-volume transactional reconciliations
• Experience with payment platforms (PayPal, Zip, Afterpay, or similar) highly regarded
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with large data sets
• Proficiency in Excel for data manipulation and reconciliation work
• Experience with system implementations or financial system projects advantageous
• Strong communication skills to work with diverse stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and manage high workload volumes
