We are a boutique Chartered Accountant firm providing a wide range of services for businesses across many verticals, which keeps the work fresh and interesting.
We work with several SMEs to bring automation and efficiencies. We provide primarily remote bookkeeping, accounting, advisory, tax, and virtual CFO services using various add-ons to companies around Australia. We also provide some bookkeeping services on-site and remotely using other industry-specific applications. So, experience on one or multiple accounting software platforms is a distinct advantage.
The position is based on-site in our office in North Sydney 2 minutes walk away from Victoria Cross Metro but may require off-site client visits. We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to join our growing team.
Our business is built on relationships, so you will help manage and nurture the clients. Crucial to our operations are time management, accuracy, problem-solving, ethics, and confidentiality.
Key responsivities will include
Management of multiple client's data files
Managing the AP function (processing of invoices due for payment)
Accounts payable, including the processing of daily supplier invoices, weekly supplier reconciliations
Balance sheet reconciliations, including bank and credit card reconciliations
Weekly and monthly reporting
Assist in the preparation of BAS and IAS
Month-end processing
Month and year-end General Ledger reconciliation
Manage the flow of data from the client to the accounting software
Liaising with clients
Using your time management skills to meet deadlines
Provide support to the CFO and partners
Adhoc administrative tasks as required
Tasks and skills will include, but are not limited to:
Proven two years of experience
General administrative duties
Preparing the monthly accounts
Liaising with internal and external advisors for annual accounts
Reconciliation (Bank accounts and credit cards)
Assist in the preparation and lodgement of monthly or quarterly business activity statements (BAS)
Managing the AP function (processing of invoices due for payment)
Ability to take responsibility and be accountable for workload
Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and other accounting tools
Proficiency in English and MS Office
A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong time management and prioritisation skills
A positive attitude with a great work ethic
