We are partnering with a high growth business that is looking for a commercially savvy lawyer to join their in house team. This is a genuinely broad role where no two days are the same. You will have exposure to employment law, consumer protection, commercial contracts and disputes while working closely with senior leaders to shape strategy and manage risk.

The Opportunity
• Take ownership of a diverse portfolio of matters spanning employment, consumer, disputes and commercial contracts
• Act as a trusted advisor to managers and executives, helping them navigate complex issues with clarity and confidence
• Represent the business in courts and tribunals and manage external counsel when required
• Play a proactive role in identifying and managing legal risk, ensuring compliance with changing legislation
• Contribute to a collaborative and supportive culture with the chance to mentor junior team members and help shape the legal function

What We Are Looking For
• A qualified lawyer with 5 plus years post admission experience and an Australian practising certificate
• Strong grounding in employment law, litigation and disputes, and commercial contracting
• Sound knowledge of Australian Consumer Law and an interest in risk and compliance
• Commercially minded, pragmatic and confident engaging directly with business leaders
• Adaptable and eager to thrive in a fast moving environment
