The Woomelang and District Bush Nursing Centre is one of 15 bush nursing centres across the state, funded by the department of Health. The common theme of them all is that the community created the centres to meet the needs of their town. Not a lot has changed since Bush Nursing Centres first began in 1911; the essence of our purpose is providing a service in response to community needs and requests. WDBNC was established in 1965 and still serving the community.
