The Opportunity

This builder is looking to bolster their estimating team with an experienced Estimator. You’ll support tenders across projects varying from institutional and infrastructure to refurbishment, minor works and heritage programs. This role offers exposure to technically challenging work streams and a chance to build commercial authority across diverse scopes.

The Role

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Reviewing drawings, specifications and project briefs to develop detailed scopes
• Conducting take-offs, quantification, and cost buildups
• Coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing
• Preparing tender submissions, comparative schedules, and markups
• Risk profiling, value engineering and cost-control input
• Maintaining cost databases, unit rates and metrics
• Liaising with internal teams, consultants and stakeholders to clarify scopes and assumptions

About You

• 3–7 years of estimating experience, ideally in commercial, government, refurbishment or infrastructure projects
• Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost drivers
• Experience with estimating software (e.g. Cubit, CostX, or equivalent)
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical mindset and commercial savvy
• Strong communication skills, able to engage with consultants and subcontractors
• Ability to manage competing priorities and tight tender deadlines
