Our client, a large Federal Government department who's focus is defending Australia against global threats and advancing our national interests, requires the services of multiple Senior Software Tester(s).

Duties of the Senior Software Tester

• Create & execute fit for purpose test plans & test cases in accordance with the projects testing strategy;
• Document traceability between requirements & test cases;
• Document test scripts, materials & regression test packs to test new & amended software or services;
• Automate testing where possible, including the development of bespoke test harnesses;
• Specify requirements for environment, data, resources & tools to facilitate efficient & effective testing;
• Interpret, execute & document complex test scripts using agreed methods & standards;
• Record & analyse actions & results, maintain a defect register & work closely with delivery team to progress defect resolutions.

Skills and Experience Required

• Testing experience in an Agile software development/delivery environment;
• Experience providing User Acceptance Testing, Functional testing, Non-Functional Testing & Process Testing;
• Certifications in Software Testing (desired).
