The Company
This business has established itself as a trusted supplier of medical and physiotherapy products across Australia. Their range includes treatment tables, taping solutions, foam rollers, measurement devices, and more. Known for their service, reliability, and product quality, they have built strong relationships with physiotherapy practices, chiropractors, podiatrists, and SME healthcare providers. With demand growing, they are now looking for a Business Development Manager to expand their reach in Melbourne.
The Role
- Based in Melbourne you will take ownership of your territory and be responsible for driving new business (approx. 90%).
- Proactively source and close new accounts with physiotherapists, chiropractors, podiatrists, and related practices.
- Manage a short, transactional sales cycle with quick wins and repeat opportunities.
- Conduct client visits and product demonstrations to secure ongoing supply agreements.
- Build lasting customer relationships while reporting directly to the National Sales Manager.
- Work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where performance is rewarded.
- This is a hunter role, not a passive account management position – you’ll be out driving growth and building your own success.
The Candidate
- Most important: Experience in new business development with a proven track record of winning clients.
- Industry background is open – transferable sales skills are highly valued.
- Comfortable in a short sales cycle with smaller deal sizes.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills – able to quickly build rapport with SME clients.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and resilient with a “hunter” mindset.
