About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced and motivated Director of Nursing to lead the nursing and perioperative team within a modern Private Day Hospital.
In this pivotal role, you'll oversee clinical operations, ensure accreditation and compliance standards are met, and champion exceptional patient-centred care. You'll provide strategic and operational leadership, guide a dedicated team, and foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Skills and Experience

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• At least 5 years' experience managing a Day Surgery Unit
• Proven leadership experience in perioperative or day hospital settings
• Strong understanding of NQHSS accreditation and quality standards
• Well-rounded clinical skills across anaesthetic, scrub/scout, and recovery
• A supportive leadership style and passion for team development
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
• Experience in IVF or specialised day procedures (desirable)
• This role could also suit an experienced Associate Director of Nursing (ADON) looking to take the next step in their leadership career
