About the role

  • Demonstrate clinical and professional expertise within the context of clinical service planning for MNMH-TPCH. This role is responsible for clinical service plan including reviewing current and predicted mental health service demand, service capacity and workforce requirements. The role identifies actions to address opportunities and risks to facilitate a continued optimal standard of health outcomes, access, and quality and safety in service delivery
  • Provide professional and operational leadership to the nursing personnel across MNMH-TPCH, to facilitate the delivery of a culturally responsive, consumer/person focused health care service, whilst enacting directions, priorities to achieve defined outcomes, targets and key performance indicators. This role undertakes enhanced relationship management through collaboration with the interprofessional team internal and external stakeholder and partners, to improve health outcomes across MNMH-TPCH.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health Award) (2015) - Generic Level Statements (GLS) Nurse Grade 11 and the Queensland Health and Metro North Health's commitments and values, in achievement of the organisational goals and Domains of Practice.
  • Facilitate practice of self and others is in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
  • Undertake, and participate in ethical decision making in the achievement of organisational goals.
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to identify and prioritise needs accessing both material and human resources through effective negotiation and communication to achieve cost effective consumer/person centred service delivery including Business Planning Framework (BPF) application.
