About the Position
The College of Business, Government and Law is seeking a passionate academic to join our world-class Criminology team. We are renowned for industry-engaged research and innovative teaching that delivers real impact on crime and justice policy.
As a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Criminology you will make an independent contribution to research through publications, external funding and partnerships with government, industry and community organisations. You will also play a key role in delivering high-quality, student-centred teaching and curriculum development.
This position is open to international candidates and relocation and visa support is available.
About You:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate research excellence in an area of research aligned to key themes at Flinders Criminology, with a strong track record of publication and/or funding success. You are equally committed to innovative research and teaching practices that enhance the reputation of Criminology and support student success. In addition, you value industry and community collaboration as a means to enhance both research quality and impact as well as the quality of teaching.
Candidates will be determined to be suitable for Level B or Level C positions depending on their relevant experience. In this position, you will also demonstrate:
- Completion of a PhD in Criminology or a closely related area.
- Depending on career stage, demonstrated experience and successful track record in supervision of honours and higher degree students.
- Expertise in quantitative research methods (desirable)
