About the Role
You will join our Economic and Policy Research team within the Economics and Analysis branch in the Investment NSW group.
In your new role, you will play a vital role in supporting the NSW Government's strategic priorities by delivering high-quality economic analysis, research, and policy advice. This role involves undertaking rigorous economic research to inform major initiatives, investment decisions, and policy development across Investment NSW and broader government agencies.
You will contribute to evidence-based policy development by producing research reports, policy briefs, and presentations that clearly communicate complex economic concepts to a range of audiences. You are comfortable working in fast paced roles with changing priorities. A key part of the role involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to share insights, coordinate analysis, and deliver impactful outcomes.

We're Looking For
Economic Research and Policy Development
Demonstrated ability to conduct economic research and quantitative analysis to identify emerging policy issues and develop evidence-based options and recommendations for government policy-making.
Strategic Policy Communication
Proven experience in producing high-quality policy briefs, research reports, and presentations that inform specialist audiences and guide strategic decision-making on key economic and policy issues.
Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration
Strong skills in building and maintaining productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, particularly across NSW Government agencies, to support collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Cross-Sector Project Participation
Experience contributing to and facilitating cross-agency projects, delivering positive outcomes for government clients through effective teamwork and project coordination.
