Working with qualified and skilled Trades people, you will gain valuable hands-on experience, mentoring and support.

Duties will involve:

• Making sand moulds

• Painting and closing sand moulds

• Assisting with pouring of molten metal into sand moulds

•Assist with knocking the casting out of the sand moulds

• Carry out mechanical cutting and grinding of castings

• ​Apply principles of occupational health and safety in the work environment

• Heat treating and inspection of the castings

• Operating induction furnace

• Driving a forklift and operating overhead cranes

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum Year 10 completion with passing grades in Mathematics and English

• Must be eligible to work in Australia and able to register as an apprentice in WA

• Must be under 30 years of age to be eligible for apprenticeship registration

• Must have a driver license

• Must hold a Class C (car) driver licence

• Must be computer literate

The successful candidate will:

· Be a confident communicator

· Be able to undertake manual/physical work

· Motivated with a genuine interest in the foundry industry

· Be trustworthy and reliable

· ​Have a high level of attention to detail

Suitable applicants must have a genuine interest in pursuing Foundry as a career path, be motivated and willing to work hard to get trade qualified.

The successful candidate will undergo Certificate III in Engineering - Casting and Moulding Trade.

To be eligible for an apprenticeship or traineeship you must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have full working rights.

Our working hours are Monday to Thursday 6am to 2.30pm and Friday 6am to 12 noon.
