We’re looking for a dedicated Second Year Boilermaker Apprentice to join our team in Perth. You’ll play a key role in fabricating, assembling, and installing components for overhead cranes and hoists. This position is workshop-based, with some site work around the Perth Metro area, offering hands-on experience and ongoing opportunities to learn.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Assisting with fabrication and welding of bridges and structural components for portal cranes
Helping install gantry cranes, post cranes, and weld rails onto runways on site
Working from technical drawings with guidance and support
Performing routine maintenance and inspections on mechanical systems (training provided)
Adhering to safety standards and helping keep the workshop organised
Checking the quality of your work and learning QA/QC processes
Developing the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Collaborating with management and experienced tradespeople to meet project goals
Documenting work and participating in continuous improvement initiatives
What You’ll Need:
Currently completing a Boilermaker/Fabricator apprenticeship (Second Year)
Reliable transport and a current driver’s license
Able to pass a drug and alcohol test
Police clearance (current or able to obtain)
White Card (Construction Induction Card)
EWP and Working at Heights tickets (or willingness to obtain)
Your own Ad Flow Welding Helmet and basic tools
Willingness to complete a welding and cutting test
Strong commitment to safety and quality
Good communication skills and a positive attitude
