Posted 1 day ago
About us:
We are a values-driven community organisation delivering a broad range of health and human services across the Northern Territory. With a focus on hope, respect, fairness and integrity, we support young people, families, and communities through strength-based, culturally safe, and evidence-informed programs. Our work is grounded in collaboration, social justice, and a commitment to improving mental health outcomes.
About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead a specialised clinical service for young people aged 12–25 who are experiencing, or at risk of developing, early psychosis. In this key leadership role, you’ll oversee multidisciplinary teams, manage service delivery, and ensure high-quality, evidence-based care. Working closely with clinical leaders and partner services, you’ll drive innovation, strengthen pathways, and ensure services are responsive, youth-friendly, and family inclusive.
As Program Manager, you’ll provide dynamic leadership to clinical and functional recovery teams, ensuring fidelity to best practice early psychosis models of care. You’ll maintain oversight of assessment, case management, and recovery programs, while also fostering a high-performing, supportive workplace culture. Collaboration will be central to your role, building strong relationships with young people, families, community partners, and service providers to improve outcomes and create seamless referral pathways.
This is a unique opportunity to combine operational management with meaningful impact, leading a service that empowers young people and their families to achieve recovery, resilience, and long-term wellbeing.
About you:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant health discipline with professional registration (e.g. AHPRA, AASW).
- 5+ years’ leadership experience in clinical mental health, ideally youth-focused.
- Skilled in evidence-based interventions (e.g. CBT, DBT) and clinical oversight of multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong understanding of the Mental Health Act, relevant government policies, and early intervention frameworks.
- Demonstrated commitment to culturally safe practice, particularly with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
- Excellent communication, supervision, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proven ability to lead services that are innovative, youth-centred, and outcome-focused.
Additional info:
- Based in Darwin, NT
- Level 4.4 under HPSS Award ($134k plus Super & NFP SPB's)
- 5 weeks annual leave
- Must be eligible to work in Australia, with all relevant employment checks completed (e.g. NT WWCC/Ochre Card & National Police Check).
- NT Driver’s Licence.
- First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to meet ID and visa/work compliance requirements.
