Job Summary

In this role, you will:
- Drive strategic alignment by providing timely advice and support to the VEU executive director, directors and senior leadership team, and broader commission leadership
- Build trust and influence by managing key relationships across the commission and external stakeholders
- Advance a high-performance regulatory culture by working collaboratively across the division to lift capability and culture in focus areas
- Support the VEU Senior Leadership Team by coordinating input and overseeing divisional advice for key enterprise functions, for example governance, people and culture, budget and risk
Position details
The position is responsible for:
- Overseeing and coordinating governance, people and culture, budgeting, enterprise risk and compliance functions for the VEU Division
- Coordinating commission papers and briefings, and executive correspondence, ensuring they meet quality and timeliness standards.
- Coordinating regular briefings from the VEU Senior Leadership Team as well as other executives from the Essential Services Commission to key external stakeholders - ensuring that agendas and written materials are delivered on time, and to a high standard.
- Facilitating opportunities for whole of Division capability uplift, communication, collaboration and development, including proactively driving engagement on energy efficiency/regulatory best practice.
- Leading the Executive Director office team, manage work coming to the Executive Director and executive team, foster teamwork and support and develop staff.

This is a fixed term position until 1st November 2028 The work location for this position is 570 Bourke Street, Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.

- making regulatory decisions with respect to prescribed industries (including price determinations, licensing, customer protection and access disputes).
