About the role

As the Team Leader/Practice Manager at CHRC, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our busy medical practice. This full-time position is based in Garran, ACT and offers the opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction and day-to-day management of our thriving healthcare organisation. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will manage both the front desk and back-office functions, balancing operational efficiency with compassionate patient service.

What you'll be doing

Manage and support the reception team, ensuring excellent first-point-of-contact service for patients

Overseeing the administrative and operational functions of the practice, including managing staff, scheduling, inventory control, and financial management

Implementing and maintaining policies, procedures, and systems to optimise practice workflow and patient experience

Serving as a liaison between the medical staff, patients, and external stakeholders to address inquiries and resolve issues

Analysing practice data to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions

Coordinating the implementation of new initiatives, technologies, and quality improvement programs

Ensuring compliance with relevant healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a practice manager or in a similar healthcare administration role

Strong understanding of medical office operations, including patient flow, billing, and regulatory compliance

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills to effectively manage a diverse team

Proficient in data analysis and the use of practice management software and electronic medical records systems

Tertiary qualification in business, healthcare administration, or a related field

Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to a fast-paced, evolving healthcare environment
