About the role
This position provides high-level business administrative support to the offices of the Pro Vice-Chancellor Indigenous and Director of Oorala Aboriginal Centre. The Executive Officer serves as a critical administrative resource, supporting senior leadership in strategic planning, operational delivery, and the successful implementation of key projects and initiatives.
Working under the direction of the Pro Vice-Chancellor Indigenous, the role demands exceptional confidentiality, discretion, and time management capabilities. Key responsibilities include managing the complex schedules and calendars of both the Pro Vice-Chancellor Indigenous and the Director of Oorala Aboriginal Centre, ensuring seamless coordination of their professional commitments. The position requires a professional who can navigate complex administrative requirements while maintaining the highest standards of business support across all aspects of the portfolio's operations.

About the Department
The Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor Indigenous (PVCI) serves as a vital leadership hub for advancing Indigenous education, research, and engagement across the university. Working in close partnership with the Oorala Aboriginal Centre, the PVCI Office drives strategic initiatives that have a focus on Indigenous knowledge systems, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander student success, and culturally safe learning environments. Through its leadership, the PVCI Office ensures that Indigenous self-determination remains at the forefront of institutional decision-making, creating pathways for Indigenous students and staff to thrive while contributing to the university's broader commitment to reconciliation and social justice.
