Job Summary

Ecoshield Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Workshop Hand to join our production team in the fabrication and preparation of steel and insulated panel products for industrial environment control solutions. The ideal candidate will excel in using power tools, measuring, cutting, and preparing materials with precision and safety. Welding experience is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Material Preparation: Accurately measure, cut, and prepare steel and insulated panels to meet project specifications for environmental control systems.

Power Tool Operation: Safely operate power tools, including grinders, drills, saws, and other fabrication equipment, to produce high-quality components.

Welding: Perform welding tasks (MIG/TIG) as needed to support fabrication processes, ensuring strong and reliable welds (preferred but not mandatory).

Quality Control: Inspect materials and finished products to ensure compliance with Ecoshield’s rigorous quality standards.

Workshop Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment, ensuring proper storage and care of tools and equipment.

Safety Compliance: Follow all workplace safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment.

Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members to meet production deadlines and maintain efficient workflows.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Proven experience in operating power tools for cutting, grinding, and shaping materials.

Strong measuring skills with a focus on precision and attention to detail.

Experience in cutting and preparing steel, insulated panels, or similar materials.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Knowledge of safe tool operation and commitment to workplace safety.

Physical ability to handle heavy materials and stand for extended periods.

Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

Welding experience (MIG/TIG) is highly favored.

Prior experience in a manufacturing or fabrication workshop, particularly with insulated panel systems or steel.

Familiarity with industrial environment control solutions or related products.
