About the Role
We’re award‑winning and nationally recognised American‑truck specialists. You’ll turn clear briefs into buildable 3D models and fully dimensioned drawings that speed up installation on the floor. You’ll join prototype and pilot installs, fix issues fast, and release tidy documentation that the workshop can trust. Our engineering standards emphasise fast installation and disciplined release packs.

What You’ll Do

Create robust models, assemblies and drawings with clear datums and sensible tolerances.

Design for fast installation: fewer fasteners, better tool access, logical sequence/jig points.

Keep the drawing parts list aligned with the production parts list and install procedure.

Support prototypes and pilot installs; capture timing/fit data and close issues before release.

Collaborate with manufacturing, technicians and buyers to choose practical components.

What You’ll Bring

Strong drawing fundamentals (dimensions, GD&T/tolerances, datums) and fabrication sense.

Examples where your design cut install time or simplified assembly.

Comfort working on the shop floor during prototypes and pilots.

Clear documentation habits; you keep drawings, parts list and install steps in sync.

Helpful: automotive/4x4 aftermarket, jigs/fixtures, tolerance stacks.

How We’ll Measure Success (First 6–12 Months)

Approved drawing packs with a high first‑pass review rate.

Pilot installs that fit cleanly with minimal rework and improved tool access.

One kit taken from brief → pilot → release pack ready for scheduling (drawings, parts list, install steps aligned).

Salary & Location

AU$95,000–$115,000 base + 12% super (senior band considered for exceptional portfolios).

Full time - based in Caboolture, QLD (on‑site workshop).
