About the vacancy:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineering Draftsperson to join our growing team. This role will support our engineers and project teams in delivering high-quality designs and documentation for a range of mechanical systems and projects.
Position Type: Full-time (38 hours per week)
Location: Warana, QLD 4575
Salary: from $85,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
Position Descriptions:
· Producing comprehensive mechanical engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
· Creating 3D models, gathering critical site data, and confirming that drawings reflect real-world conditions.
· Maintaining team workflows and working closely with engineers and team members to deliver mechanical design services to clients and ensure quality assurance.
· Engaging in virtual meetings and coordinating with trades; Problem-solving coordination issues.
· Preparing and maintaining precise updates on schedules, material quantities, and cost estimates.
· Supporting research and testing efforts on the BIM360 platform by integrating technology and functions to develop engineering solutions
· Generating graphical representations and diagrams by compiling data tables and conducting complex engineering calculations and analysis.
· Assisting in project delivery and collaborating with contractors and other engineering teams in providing organisation and supervision of the implementation of engineering plants and equipment.
· Reviewing design adjustments to ensure compliance with specifications, engineering standards, and contractual requirements.
· May work with contractors and site engineering technicians to assist with providing supervision and technical support in the installation of the new and modified mechanical engineering plans, systems, machines and/or components, such as the following, but not limited to:
• HVAC
• Airconditioning
• Hydraulics
• Mechanical Machinery.
Skills and Experience
· Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks (essential).
· Strong understanding of mechanical drafting standards, detailing, and documentation practices.
· Ability to work collaboratively within a team, as well as independently, with strong problem-solving skills.
· High attention to detail with a proactive, can-do attitude.
· Previous experience in mechanical drafting for HVAC, plant, or industrial projects is highly regarded.
· Knowledge of BIM processes and coordination is desirable.
