Overall Purpose
MLEI Queensland is seeking a Civil Engineer who demonstrates competence in delivering engineering tasks that meet client requirements. The role involves assuming responsibility for the outcomes of projects or sections of projects. Key responsibilities include:
Maintaining personal well-being and complying with all health and safety requirements.
Applying technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to resolve assigned engineering challenges.
Assisting senior engineers with analysis, design, and computations.
Reviewing and analysing technical designs.
Preparing detailed reports or sections of reports as required.
Liaising with clients, sub-consultants, and contractors, and maintaining strong professional relationships.
Knowledge and Skills
Apply engineering principles to analyse and interpret technical information.
Competent in using engineering analysis and design software.
Conduct conceptual and detailed designs to produce technical documentation.
Prepare designs, reports, proposals, specifications, and tender documents to meet client expectations.
Undertake project planning, including budgeting, resource management, and meeting project deadlines.
Take responsibility for the outcomes of small to large-scale projects.

Qualifications and Experience
Engineering degree recognised by a relevant professional body.
Either hold or be on track to obtain CPEng and RPEQ qualification after five years of work experience.
Knowledge of relevant industry codes, standards, and quality systems.
Hold appropriate professional accreditation.
