Area Manager (manage QLD regions, VIC. based role)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Area Manager to join the Horseland retail network as part of the Weatherbeeta Group to manage the QLD regional stores, based from our main office located in Dandenong Sth (VIC).
This role requires a Retail Area Manager with professional and/or personal knowledge and experience working with Equine products, a passion for the industry and is keen and available to travel interstate at least quarterly.
As the Area Manager you will be responsible for leading the assigned Horseland store teams assigned to you to achieve their sales goals and KPI’s, through developing exceptional customer service and operational standards. This role is also suited to a hands-on Area Manager that is accustomed to travelling for work locally and interstate to lead and motivate the Horseland retail employees across the Queensland regions to meet set objectives.
Key Accountabilities
· Meet all region / area sales and EBIT budgets
· Develop strategies & tactical approach for growing Horseland Brand and customer base across assigned region/s
· Implement marketing strategies that position Horseland as the Heart of the Equestrian Community.
· Create a culture of engagement, results focus, brand ambassadors who are values aligned
· Develop, coach and guide store managers
· Focus on delivering exceptional customer experience, through leading by example and coaching your team on best practice.
· Recruit and onboard new Horseland team members.
· Create and deliver engaging tools and training to help your team reach their KPI’s.
· Oversee the implementation of Visual Merchandising direction to a timeframe and standard, in consultation with Merchandising managers and store staff.
· Identify opportunities for improvement with a solution focus and providing constructive feedback to the National Retail Manager.
· Manage all aspects of retail operations within your assigned Area.
Key Capabilities
· A passion for equine products, retail and driving sales outcomes.
· Experience in multi-site management, within a retail business.
· Strategic and customer-focused mindset.
· Demonstrated ability to drive strong people management with the ability to motivate and develop strong performing teams.
· Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
· Adept at interpreting data and reporting results to management/SLT.
· Solid understanding of visual merchandising and the ability to implement cohesive brand-aligned strategies.
· Strong knowledge of equine industry - work history and/or personal.
