About the role
Do you love working outdoors, getting on the excavator, and building things that last? Retaincon is looking for a motivated Excavator Operator who’s keen to sharpen their skills and learn the art of sandstone and bush rock wall construction.

We want someone who’s confident on the machine but also eager to grow with a team that values quality, safety, and a positive attitude.

What you'll be doing

Operating excavators (1.7-30 tonne) for residential and civil projects

Working alongside experienced rock wall builders to build sandstone and bush rock retaining walls

Reading site plans and learning the ins and outs of rock wall construction

Pitching in as part of a team to deliver high-quality projects on time

Looking after equipment with pre-start checks and basic maintenance

Keeping safety front of mind and helping maintain a tidy worksite

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Excavator experience: 3+ years on a machine

Positive attitude: willing to learn, take direction, and develop hands-on skills

Team player: reliable, hardworking, and able to work with others to get the job done

Tickets: Excavator (H) licence + relevant industry tickets

Availability: Mon-Fri (6:30am–5pm), with occasional Saturday work
