About the role

Join our team at Alabaster Contracting as a Casual Excavator Operator in Caloundra, QLD. As an Excavator Operator, you will play a vital role in our construction projects, operating heavy machinery to carry out essential earthworks and site preparation. This is a casual position.

What you'll be doing

Operate excavators to carry out a range of earthworks, such as digging trenches, loading trucks, and site levelling

Ensure machines are well-maintained and operated safely and efficiently

Work collaboratively with the wider construction team to meet project deadlines and targets

Identify and report any issues or concerns with equipment or site conditions

Adhere to all health, safety and environmental regulations on site

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years' experience as an Excavator Operator in the construction industry

Relevant plant/machinery operation qualifications or licences

Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the wider construction crew

Ability to work safely and responsibly, with a keen eye for detail

Flexible and adaptable to changing site conditions and project requirements
