The Role
As our Service Tech Manager / Leading Hand, you’ll:
· Lead and grow our Service Tech team from 5 to 10 + plumbers.
· Hold the team accountable to KPIs — sold hours, job profitability, callback rate, and customer satisfaction.
· Review daily reports and drive performance improvement on the spot.
· Be the bridge between dispatch and the field, ensuring jobs are executed right, on time, and on budget.
· Step in on complex jobs, leading by example with technical expertise and customer communication.
· Provide technical assistance, diagnose problems, and ensure compliance with Australian Standards.
· Mentor and develop technicians through training, site inspections, team meetings, and workshops.
· Uphold WHS, OH&S, and all plumbing codes/regulations.
· Certify works and issue compliance documentation.
What Success Looks Like
· Daily KPI reports hit or exceeded.
· Sold hours vs completed hours consistently on target.
· Strong average ticket sales and profitability.
· Callback rates under 3%.
· Consistent 5-star customer reviews.
· Techs trained, motivated, and improving every month.
· Systems, checklists, and accountability embedded across the team.

What you’ll need:
· NSW Contractor’s License in Plumbing, Drainage, Gas Fitting, LP Gas Fitting.
· In-depth knowledge of plumbing standards, codes of practice, and compliance.
· Proven experience as a plumbing supervisor or leading hand.
· Strong communication and leadership skills with clients and colleagues.
