As we continue to diversify into new product lines and growth partnerships, we're ready to appoint a strong Beekeeper Manager to lead our team.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting directly to the founders and General Manager, this newly created role is a pivotal leadership position that will bring structure, strategic oversight, and people-first leadership to the business. You’ll lead a team of approximately 15 beekeepers. This role requires someone with strong interpersonal skills who can manage performance and lead by influence and results.
We’re looking for an emotionally intelligent, practical, and values-aligned leader. You’ll need the resilience and adaptability to work with nature.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide day-to-day leadership for the beekeepers.
• Networking with farm owners
• Forward planning of hive placement
• Maintaining hive health and strength
• Build team alignment and accountability while maintaining our people-first culture.
• Manage staffing and recruitment needs, including onboarding and performance management.
• Liaise regularly with the owners to ensure transparency and alignment with strategic priorities.
• Oversee supply chain processes from hive to extraction.
• Identify opportunities to streamline operations and improve internal systems and reporting.
• Be hands-on and solutions-focused when dealing with challenges.
• Travel as needed between sites across Victoria (Mildura, Marong and Moorooduc).
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• Experience working in the beekeeping field
• Proven experience in a senior leadership role
• Strong people management capability
• Comfortable leading in an environment where performance matters
• High emotional intelligence, active listener, and a natural collaborator
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and implement systems
• Experience working with regional and rural teams
• Excellent communication skills, both with internal teams and owners
