About the role

Clark Rubber Hervey Bay is seeking an experienced Retail Sales Assistant to join our friendly in-store team. You'll provide great customer service, assist with product selection (pools, foam, rubber, and accessories), handle POS transactions, and keep the store well-presented.

What you'll be doing

Engage customers with expert, friendly service

Operate POS, process payments, and handle returns

Restock shelves, receive deliveries, and maintain merchandising standards

Assist with basic water testing and pool product recommendations (training provided)

Maintain a clean, safe retail environment

Assisting with store opening and closing procedures

Contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a customer-facing retail role, preferably in the consumer products industry

Physically capable of safely lifting up to 20 kg

Excellent problem-solving skills with a "find a way" attitude.

Strong customer service and communication skills

Reliable, punctual, easy-going personality with the ability to think ahead, must be a team player

Comfortable working weekends and peak retail periods

A team player with the ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a positive store culture

Pool care knowledge or prior experience in a similar product category

Forklift licence and receiving/dispatch experience

Must have existing Australian work rights
