About the Role
As Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for winning and growing new accounts - proactively targeting organisations nationally with min. 50 to 1,000+ fleet sizes, across a variety of industries (e.g. government, public transport, healthcare, hire/rental companies, trucking, sales fleet, utilities, construction, mining, etc.).
Typical deal values will range from $200K to $600K, with larger deals ranging from $1M-$5M+. Sales cycles are typically 1-2 months, with larger tenders taking 3 months or more.
Through cold outreach and other marketing initiatives (e.g. industry trade shows, events), you’ll secure min. 5 new prospect meetings p/week and maintain a 3x pipeline, to confidently deliver $1.5M to $2M per year - though, $3M-$5M+ years are achievable.
A generous and uncapped commission scheme is on offer - with 10%-20% bonuses paid on healthy GP margins. For true hunters, there is a real opportunity to earn $300K or more.
Excellent training will be provided. You’ll work closely alongside and be supported by the company’s founder and lead BDM.
About You
To be seriously considered for this role, you’ll bring:
At least 1-2 years, new business focused, B2B sales experience with the same employer where individual targets were met/exceeded
A background in telematics / fleet management technology OR experience selling commercial vehicles (e.g. trucks, buses, cars, etc.) to similar markets is advantageous, though not required
Most importantly, you’re a fearless, resilient, upbeat/positive and driven sales hunter (i.e. comfortable generating your own leads / outbound cold calling) - eager to maximise your earning and career growth potential in a like-minded team.
