St Patrick’s Special School is seeking a dynamic Special Education Teacher to join our supportive and inclusive community.

St Patrick's is a specialist setting dedicated to the holistic education of children and young people with an intellectual disability. We are inspired by the unique abilities of our students and offer a curriculum that is contemporary, individualised, and orientated to “Learning for Life”.

The successful applicant will

Actively support and contribute to the Catholic Ethos of the school.

Demonstrate an understanding of contemporary, inclusive pedagogy using the Australian Curriculum that responds to the learning needs of students with disabilities

Demonstrate an understanding of the Early Years, including the transition for students starting school.

Possess highly developed interpersonal skills to establish and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, carers and colleagues.

Demonstrate an understanding of and experience in supporting students with complex behaviours and the implementation of emotional regulation strategies.

Be an energetic, dynamic educator who is committed to ongoing personal and professional learning with a willingness to work collaboratively within teams, including our Allied Health Team
