River Quay Fish, an award-winning waterfront restaurant & bar in South Bank Brisbane, is seeking a passionate Venue / Restaurant Manager to oversee operations, lead a high-performing hospitality team, and deliver exceptional dining & bar experiences. We are seeking a dedicated, hands-on Venue Manager to oversee daily operations, lead a passionate team, and ensure an exceptional guest experience in one of Brisbane’s most stunning dining locations.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Lead daily operations: Work alongside your team to deliver smooth service and uphold the highest standards.

Staff leadership: Recruit, train, and inspire a high-performing FOH team.

Operational excellence: Monitor and improve KPIs including customer numbers, spend per head, labour %, food costs, and Google reviews.

Guest experience: Manage group bookings, corporate functions, and special events by the river.

Menu collaboration: Work with our chefs to design menus that showcase seasonal Modern Australian cuisine and fresh local seafood.

Inventory & purchasing: Oversee ordering, par levels, and budgets for maximum efficiency.

Venue presentation: Maintain impeccable standards of cleanliness, style, and ambiance.

Collaboration: Partner with Directors and support JB Alliance venues when needed.

Reporting: Provide regular updates on venue performance and KPIs to the Group Manager and Directors.

What We’re Looking For:

3+ years in a management role (Venue Manager or Assistant Manager level).

Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to train, motivate, and appraise staff.

Experience in cost management (labour, stock control, food/beverage GP).

Track record of delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Ability to manage group bookings and functions seamlessly.

Confident communicator with a solutions-driven approach.

Passion for hospitality and maintaining a positive team culture.
