Key Responsibilities

As our Bar Manager, you will lead and elevate the bar experience. Some of the things you’ll own:

Build, mentor and manage a high energy bar team (bartenders, bar backs, FOH staff) assist with rostering, resolve staffing issues fast.

Keep inventory and glassware ordering, and manage invoicing while liaising with the Group Bar Manager. All Invoices to be completed and filed before COB of the same week purchased.

Hire and train staff to provide excellent service to customers

Co‑create dynamic cocktail menus, function beverage packages

Maintain POS accuracy, recipes, items and pricing

Ensure compliance with all liquor licensing, RSA/legislation, health, safety & hygiene standards.

Be the escalation point for customer concerns, ensure service is smooth, attentive and consistent.

Roll up your sleeves, you’ll still bartend, manage bar operations and supervise service during busy shifts.

What We’re Looking For

Minimum 2+ years experience as a Bar Manager (or similar senior role) in a venue of comparable size and complexity.

Strong leadership skills, ability to coach, motivate and develop people.

Excellent customer‑facing skills, polished communication, diplomacy, and ability to diffuse conflict.

Passion for drinks culture, creativity in cocktails, knowledge of wine, spirits, non‑alcoholic offerings.

Solid operational sense - stock control, rostering, budgeting, POS systems.

Integrity, professionalism, and a hands-on attitude.
