Social Media & Content Creator

Part-time or Full-Time position available

The Media Society (TMS) is a boutique creative marketing agency specialising in content creation, social media marketing, copywriting, and design for established and emerging businesses, as well as personal brands.

We’re on the lookout for a social media and content all-rounder to join our growing team. This is the perfect role for someone who lives and breathes content, thrives in a fast-paced creative environment, and loves bringing brands to life online.

While this role is designed as full-time, we’re open to flexible working arrangements for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities.

Social Media Management (40%)

Manage the full organic social media process: strategy, planning, captioning, scheduling, uploading, and monitoring across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

Design social assets (carousels, stories, graphics, reels) aligned with each brand’s strategy, tone, and messaging.

Track performance, analyse KPIs, and suggest improvements to maximise engagement and reach.

Content Creation & Video (30%)

Plan and prepare content briefs, shot lists, mood boards, and scripts.

Film and edit reels, TikToks, BTS, and campaign content (in studio and on location).

Repurpose and edit content using Canva, CapCut, or Adobe to ensure consistency and quality.

Stay across social trends, sounds, and formats - and know when to jump on them.

Monitor and engage with audiences by managing comments, DMs, and conversations across platforms.

Client & Internal Projects (30%)

Manage The Media Society’s own brand presence, ensuring our platforms stay relevant, consistent, and targeted to attract dream clients.

Brainstorm and develop creative content ideas for TMS across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok.

Prepare regular reports highlighting results, insights, and growth opportunities.

About You.

Proven experience in content creation and social media management (portfolio required).

Confident filming and editing iPhone content in a variety of formats.

Strong eye for aesthetics, brand positioning, and storytelling.

Proficiency in Canva and CapCut (bonus if you’re skilled in Adobe).

Organised and able to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

A strategic thinker who brings fresh ideas and solutions to the table.

Exceptional attention to detail, especially with spelling, grammar, and creative copywriting.

A “give it a go” attitude - ready to experiment, learn, and grow.

Up-to-date with digital marketing and social media trends.

Bonus: experience with EDMs or graphic design.

Flexible to travel when needed.
