Bastion Pacific is an importer of a large range of Bastion brand medical and foodgrade gloves, safety gloves, chemical resistant and specialty gloves, PPE, wipes, bin liners and industrial packaging. www.bastionpacific.com.au

Sales are solely wholesale through resellers and distributors nationally with approximately 1200 currently active customers.

THE ROLE

You will be required to manage and grow your allocated customer list and generate new business by converting leads to customers, by engaging with existing customers, generate new sales opportunities, and increase sales by introducing new products. You will have opportunities to work with numerous customers across multiple industry types and locations. Required for QLD and north coast NSW

Some of the duties include but not limited to:

Responsible for maintaining some current sales and customers

Responsible for the growth of some existing accounts

The role will mainly involve creation of new business - identify new potential customers and arrange introductions by visits, phone calls and emails as required

Promotion of new products to existing customers and new leads

Assist with the preparation of customer quotations and pricelists

Visits as required to new leads and some existing customers

REQUIREMENTS

Valid driver’s licence

Previous experience is mandatory in all or some industries selling Gloves, PPE and Industrial Packaging

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with customers

Good time management skills and well organised planning of tasks

Highly motivated and able to self manage, although our support team is also intergral

The ability to understand and maintain product knowledge well and be able to use this effectively to determine products required by customers

Occasional joint visits with distributors to end user sites to investigate products or solutions required

Team player able to interact effectively with support staff

Ability to use CRM system as required and ability to report to management

The successful candidate will agree to visit other states including regional areas involving car travel and flights with overnight stays as required.

At Bastion Pacific we believe in the importance of staff and reward effort and results well by commissions and incentive schemes. Commission on sales performance to follow 3 month trial and establishment period.
