Senior Policy Officer

Join a high-impact policy team delivering reforms that improve the wellbeing of veterans and their families. In this role, you’ll shape government policy, provide strategic advice, and develop high-level documentation to support national initiatives. You'll be part of a collaborative environment that engages closely with both internal and external stakeholders.

Location: ACT, TAS, SA, VIC, NSW, QLD

Rates: $548 - $615 per day inclusive of Super.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement policies to support the health and wellbeing of the veteran community
• Prepare high-quality ministerial briefings, reports, and discussion papers
• Analyse data and research to inform evidence-based policy development
• Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive policy reform

Essential Criteria:

• Strong experience in policy development and implementation
• Understanding of government legislative and budget processes
• Excellent communication skills, particularly in writing on complex matters
• Ability to collaborate effectively across a wide range of stakeholders
