About the opportunity
The Executive Officer provides high-level operational, governance, and project leadership to support the Vice-President Operations and Executive Director. The role ensures the effective coordination of strategic initiatives, governance processes, and cross-functional projects across the Operations Portfolio. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the Executive Officer plays a critical role in translating strategic priorities into operational outcomes, fostering collaboration, and ensuring compliance with University policies and procedures.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- lead the coordination and delivery of governance activities, ensuring timely preparation of high-quality materials in collaboration with the Governance Office
- provide high-level project management support across diverse teams, ensuring effective planning, execution, and delivery of key initiatives
- prepare clear, concise, and impactful presentations, briefings, and background papers for the VP Operations and Executive Director, incorporating risk analysis, external context, and strategic insights
- serve as a central point of communication and coordination for the Office of the VP Operations, ensuring timely and professional responses to internal and external enquiries.
About you
- the ability to manage and build the diverse relationships required to operate effectively in a large organisation with multiple stakeholders
- extensive experience project managing multiple work streams within a complex and diverse organization
- the capacity to work according to strict deadlines and manage various demands
- the expertise to take initiative and work with a high level of independence, as well as in a collaborative team environment
- experience working in a university or education environment.
